WEEK 10: WRITING ON CHAPTER 1

  Week 10 : Writing on Chapter 1   Objective: To complete Chapter 1   Description: Since I have completed Chapter 2, I have to complete Chapter 1 so that I can submit to Madam Roziyani for checking and correction. In this Chapter 1, I have to write about the Introduction of the project. Most of the content can be take from Proposal that was submitted before. From there, I have to elaborate more so it can be report. The report of Chapter 1 consists of Project background, Problem statement, Objective, Expected outcome, and Project scope.   Conclusion: I have completed first draft of my report of Chapter 1 and Chapter 2. It will then be submitted for checking and correction to Madam Roziyani.

WEEK 9: START WRITING ON CHAPTER 2

  Week 9: Start Writing on Chapter 2   Objective: To complete the Chapter 2 report   Description: For this week, Madam Roziyani asked me to complete Chapter 2 first to find the problem faced by the cyclist. It will be used to make problem statement clearer. Chapter 2 is Literature Review. It consists of related concept, related research, and critical analysis. Related concept will be what technology that I use in the project. That is Internet of Thing (IoT), Accelerometer Sensor, Global Positioning System (GPS) and Global System for Mobile Communications (GSM). Related research consists of previous project that I choose to refer to. There are 4 project that I refer to as reference. Critical analysis is the summary of the previous project. The summary include objective, method used and result.   Conclusion: This week I have done writing report on Chapter 2. WEEK 8: PLANNING PROJECT TIMELINE AND SUBMIT GANTT CHART

  Week 8: Planning Project Timeline and Submit Gantt Chart   Objective: To plan the whole FYP1 timeline Submit Gantt Chart to Supervisor   Description: Students need to submit Gantt Chart to the supervisor on week 8. I have planned some task to complete from FYP1 to FYP2. Gantt Chart was supposed to start from first day of starting to make the project proposal in FYP1 until the prototype has finished in FYP2. Conclusion: The gantt chart have been submitted to Madam Roziyani .

WEEK 7: DO RESEARCH ON MAIN HARDWARE REQUIREMENT

  Week 7: Do Research on Main Hardware Requirement   Objective: List out all the main Hardware component needed to complete the prototype   Description: After listing all the possibilities of hardware during project proposal, I started to search on more of the components. One of them is Arduino. There are some models that has their own function. I was thinking about size first, because the prototype will be installed on the bicycle. It cannot be the big one. So, I choose Arduino Nano. Arduino Nano has enough pin to make my project works. After that, I started to search on accelerometer sensor. Accelerometer sensor is use for detecting the cyclist fall. Accelerometer sensor also has some choices based on function the user needs. Since I was only detecting the fall by calculating the angle of the bicycle, then I will need 3-axis accelerometer. WEEK 6: PROPOSAL DEFENSE AND INTERVIEW SESSION

  Week 6: Proposal Defense and Interview Session   Objective: Prepare for proposal defense Make interview appointment and interview question   Description: This week is about proposal defense. Every students are waiting for the result of proposal defense whether they need to do proposal defense or not. Alhamdulillah, I was not on the list. It's means I don't have to do proposal defense. Since I don’t have to do proposal defense, I continues with my research. During my research, I was thinking, what are the common problem faced by the cyclist? Does accident happens involving cyclist? So, I decided to interview one of the cyclist from the local cycling club. Since my father was in the group, I asked my father to ask the group if anyone has involved in accident with car or any road user. After a while, someone named Razali has answered the question and the question is yes. So, I make some interview question for interview session with him.   Conclusion: ...

WEEK 5: RESEARCH FROM PREVIOUS RELATED PROJECT

  Week 5: Research from Previous Related Project   Objective: Research from related article or research paper from the previous project   Description: After submission of project proposal has been made, students are required to continue the research and prepare for proposal defense (if required). Proposal defense is for the project that has less understanding if I'm not mistaken. It is for the students to explain their self on what the project is about. Continue to research related projects, I started to list down the possibilities of other hardware. Whether I need to use gyroscope? Or do I need to use internet? It's all about why and what if. It is for the possibilities that may need to be researched on for future purposes. Some related project can be on my project, but some are not.   Week 4: Do Research of The Project and Submit Proposal   Objective: Do research of project tittle based on content of project proposal Submit project proposal   Description: I started searching the content of my project based on the project proposal requirement. The proposal consists of Project Introduction, Project Objective, Project Problem Statement, Project Scope, Hardware / Software Requirement, and Commercialization. So, I have to search for how my project works, what is the objective of my project, what is the problem with the current system, who will be using this prototype, what are the requirement needed to make this prototype and how will I sell this prototype. After searching for previous project, I have listed all the possibilities of hardware requirement.
